Plug any AI client into the OKF catalogue.
One URL, a bearer token, and five tools your agent can call. Works with Claude Desktop, Cursor, Continue, and anything else that speaks Model Context Protocol.
https://okfbundle.com/mcp/okfbundle Streamable HTTP · Authorization: Bearer <your-key>
Five tools. All read-only.
The public server surfaces the catalogue; it never writes to it. Publishing stays a deliberate human step in the dashboard.
-
search_bundles
query · limit?
Full-text search across published bundles. Matches title, description, and tags.
-
list_bundles
category? · sort? · limit? · offset?
Paged list. Optionally filter by category, sort by recent, popular, or title.
-
get_bundle
slug
One bundle's full metadata — author, version, license, download count.
-
read_bundle_file
slug · file_path
Read a single Markdown file from inside a published bundle.
-
list_categories
—
Every category with its current count of published bundles.
Three steps. Maybe a minute.
- 1
Mint a key
Sign up, verify your email, and a default key is created. Reveal it once on your dashboard.
- 2
Add it to your client
Paste the endpoint URL and the bearer header into your client's config.
- 3
Ask your agent
“Find me bundles about SaaS metrics.” The client picks the right tool and calls the server.

One URL. Every bundle. Always current.
Most MCP servers are local — your filesystem, your database, your notes. Useful, but everything stops at the edge of that machine.
This one is shared. The same five calls work from your laptop, your CI runner, or another agent — and they always see the latest published version of every bundle. When an author ships a new version, every connected agent picks it up on the next call.
Common questions.
What is this server?
A Model Context Protocol server at https://okfbundle.com/mcp/okfbundle. It lets any MCP-aware AI client read the public catalogue of Open Knowledge Format (OKF v0.1) bundles — search, list, fetch metadata, read files inside a bundle.
What's MCP?
An open standard for connecting AI assistants to data and tools. Instead of building a one-off integration per model, you point an MCP-aware client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Continue, others) at a server URL and the assistant gets whatever tools the server exposes.
What's OKF?
Open Knowledge Format — a v0.1 spec from Google Cloud's Data Cloud team for packaging knowledge as a directory of Markdown files with YAML frontmatter. One file per concept, the directory is one bundle. Portable, version-controllable, and easy for any model to ingest.
Do I need an account?
Yes, to authenticate. Sign up, verify your email, and a default key is minted automatically. The catalogue itself is open — anyone can publish and download bundles via the site without using the MCP server.
What does it cost?
Free for now. Per-key usage is recorded so we can introduce per-account quotas if abuse appears. There is no paid tier today.
Which clients work?
Any MCP client that speaks Streamable HTTP and accepts an Authorization header. Verified: Claude Desktop, Cursor, Continue, Cline, and the official MCP reference clients. No custom client glue is needed.
Is there an admin server too?
Yes — https://okfbundle.com/mcp/admin — but it requires the mcp:admin scope. Only platform admins get keys with that scope; everyone else gets a 403 at the door.
How do I publish bundles?
Through the dashboard, not the MCP server. The public server is read-only by design. Publishing stays a deliberate human action: upload the ZIP at /dashboard/bundles/new/.
